What are Replication and Replica Sets in MongoDB?

Replication is the process of maintaining multiple copies of data across different servers to improve availability and fault tolerance. A Replica Set consists of a primary node that receives write operations and one or more secondary nodes that replicate data from the primary. If the primary node fails, MongoDB automatically elects a new primary, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
